BPD Therapy:
Support for a Brighter,
More Stable Future

Compassionate, specialized therapy for teens, young adults and adults experiencing borderline personality disorder (BPD), self-harm, intense emotions, and relationship difficulties.

Borderline Personality Disorder Therapy That Helps You Move Forward

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) can affect the way you experience emotions, relationships and yourself. Emotions may feel extremely intense or change quickly, and relationships can sometimes feel overwhelming.

For some people, BPD may also involve impulsive behaviours, fears of abandonment, feelings of emptiness, difficulty managing anger, self-harm or suicidal thoughts. These experiences can look different from one person to another.

BPD therapy provides a supportive, non-judgmental space to understand these patterns and develop practical skills for managing difficult emotions and building healthier relationships.

BPD Therapy Can Help With:

Help for Suicidal Thoughts

If you’re feeling like you want to end your life, it’s important to tell someone. Help and support is available right now if you need it. You do not have to struggle with difficult feelings alone.

Highly Prevalent Co-Occurring Conditions

BPD rarely occurs in isolation. It frequently co-exists with other mental health conditions, which can complicate diagnosis
and require specialized, dual-focus treatment.

Self-Harm

Many people with BPD struggle with self-harm as a way to cope with intense emotions. Therapy can help you understand the underlying causes and develop safer, healthier coping strategies.

Eating Disorders

Higher rates of disordered eating, including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder, are common in people with BPD.

Narcissistic or Antisocial Personality Traits

Some individuals may also present with narcissistic or antisocial personality traits, which can complicate diagnosis and treatment.

Mood Disorders

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Dysthymia and Bipolar Disorder are commonly experienced alongside BPD.

Trauma-Related Conditions

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD (C-PTSD), often stemming from childhood trauma, are frequent co-occurring conditions.

Substance Use Disorders

Alcoholism and illicit drug use are often used as a way to cope with intense emotions and can occur alongside BPD.

Support for Every Stage and Experience

BPD can affect people differently. We provide specialized, compassionate support for teens and young adults, women, and men.

Teens & Young Adults

Symptoms of BPD often emerge during late adolescence and early adulthood. For young people (especially ages 18–25), the risk of self-harm, emotional dysregulation and impulsive behaviour is at its peak. Common risk factors include childhood trauma, bullying, family conflict, and major life transitions.

Women

Women with BPD are more frequently diagnosed and often experience intense mood shifts, higher levels of anxiety, chronic feelings of emptiness and more significant relationship instability. With the right support, therapy can help women better understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies and build more stable, fulfilling relationships.

Men

Men with BPD are often misunderstood and frequently misdiagnosed with conditions like PTSD, ADHD or Antisocial Personality Disorder. Men may be less likely to recognize their symptoms or seek help, which can increase the risk of crisis situations.
