Carolyn Holmes
RP (Qualifying)
Carolyn has a special interest in supporting women whose PMDD symptoms are shifting as they move into their late 30s and 40s — a confusing stretch where it’s not always clear whether what you’re experiencing is PMDD, perimenopause, or both. She helps clients make sense of what’s happening in their bodies and build practical tools to manage it.
She has a special interest in supporting individuals navigating PCOS and fertility challenges, and works closely with clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation.
Grief therapy is one of Carolyn’s primary areas of focus, and she is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. Whether you are grieving the loss of a parent, child, or beloved pet, coping with divorce or separation, preparing for an anticipated loss, or trying to make sense of a sudden or traumatic death, she offers a compassionate, supportive space where you don’t have to face it alone.
Alongside these areas, Carolyn welcomes clients seeking general individual therapy for the everyday struggles life brings, whether that’s stress, anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, life transitions, or simply needing a supportive space to talk things through. You don’t need a specific diagnosis or a single defining issue to begin.
Her approach is grounded in lived experience as well as formal training — she has personally faced anxiety and ADHD, and experienced later-onset depression in adulthood — which shapes the authenticity and empathy she brings into the room.
