The Transition Toolkit Group
Emerging adulthood is a period marked by significant transitions — entering university, changing academic programs, relationship shifts, moving away from home, career uncertainty, graduation, and evolving personal identities. While these changes can create real opportunities for growth, they often arrive alongside heightened anxiety, stress, self-doubt, and uncertainty.
This four-week psychoeducational and skills-based Zoom group is designed for university-aged young adults (18–25) experiencing anxiety related to life transitions. You’ll learn practical coping skills, build self-awareness and resilience, and connect with peers facing similar challenges. The group draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), self-compassion, and strengths-based practice.
- Understanding anxiety during life transitions
- Practical coping skills from CBT and DBT
- Building self-awareness and emotional regulation
- Self-compassion and managing self-doubt
- Identifying and using your personal strengths
- Peer connection and shared experience
This group is ideal for university and college students (ages 18–25), young adults navigating significant life changes, and anyone experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, stress, uncertainty, or adjustment difficulties. No prior experience with therapy or group programs is required — just a willingness to show up and participate.
