About

Danielle Rabbat,
Therapist, RP, Qualifying

Offering affordable and accessible care to individuals and couples, Danielle is completing her Masters of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

As a therapist, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, depending on which one fits the situation best. I like CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and for anxiety, Solution-Focused Therapy for those wanting to fix problems, particularly for entrepreneurs wanting to reduce stress, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for those who want to better manage their emotions, and Person Centred Therapy for those who want to feel heard and validated. I have completed my Gottman Level 1 Couples Counselling. I am especially interested in working with people who have anxiety, or ADHD, those who feel lonely, are grieving, and those who are donor-conceived or adopted.

I did my Psychology undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph and my Masters of Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. I am in a cross-cultural marriage, and I have three daughters (ages 16, 12-almost 13, and 7).

I have spent over 20 years working as a photographer, running my own business.

If there is a hobby you have wanted to try, I have probably done it. Right now, I am into skateboarding, Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, Balboa and Balfolk dancing, hockey, skiing, kayaking, paddleboarding and reading. I love empowering clients to take charge of their emotions and explore their past to figure out how it is affecting their present.
