Psychotherapy for ADHD and PMDD

About

Miranda Tilley, MACP, RP
Psychotherapist

I help clients navigate a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, PMDD and related menstrual issues (such as severe PMS and PME), ADHD, life transitions, and everyday stress. Together, we create personalized plans to address these issues. My approach is integrative, combining techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Humanistic, and Solution-Focused therapies to meet each client’s unique needs. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to support them in discovering their strengths and finding solutions that promote healing and personal growth. Together, we can work through life’s complexities and aim for meaningful, lasting change.

I work with individuals of all ages—adults, children, teens, couples, and families—providing support wherever it’s needed. I am a registered psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychotherapy from Yorkville University and an Honours Bachelor of Psychology from Trent University.

My approach is built on collaboration and empathy, fostering a safe space where clients can openly explore their concerns. Thank you for considering me as part of your journey toward psychological wellness. Feel free to reach out for a meet-and-greet to see how I can assist you.

My Approaches

  • Person-Centered Therapy
focuses on empathy, active listening, and validation. This focuses on the client feeling truly heard, understood, and appreciated.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT encourages individuals to accept their feelings and thoughts, rather than trying to change them.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
This approach focuses on finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems.
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
DBT teaches skills for managing intense emotions and improving emotional regulation. DBT is particularly useful for PMDD and related issues.
