We offer Group Therapy and DBT-focused Psychoeducation for Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), Premenstrual exacerbation (PME) and severe PMS.
If you struggle with PMS, you may suspect you have PMDD or something similar. You do not need an official diagnosis to be part of our group (some women report gaining an official diagnosis may be difficult from their primary care physician). Join us, as we explore our condition in a collaborative and safe space.
We discuss our individual Window of Tolerance, and how to recognize our distress during luteal. We learn distress tolerance tools like exploring our Wise Minds and STOP to help us regulate.
Mindfulness involves being aware in the present moment without judgement. We use mindfulness tools such as breathing and grounding to help guide ourselves during luteal.
Understanding our emotions and learning to regulate them through tools and strategies including exploring cognitive distortions and problem solving.
PMDD/PME doesn't just affect those that suffer, it impacts those we love. By learning effective communication tools such as "I statements" and setting boundaries, we begin to improve our interpersonal effectiveness.
